President Donald Trump was reported to have the lowest approval rating of his second term among U.S. voters, according to recent polling conducted by YouGov/The Economist.

Trump was reported to have a net approval rating of 43.6% on July 6, a decrease from his 46.1% reported approval rating at the end of May and 43.6% rating at the end of June. The president is also reported to have a 36.5% approval rating among independent voters, which is a 3.1% increase from his personal low set on April 27.

Last week, Trump's approval rating was reported to have declined after signing the 'One Big Beautiful Bill Act' into law, according to the latest Morning Consult Pro survey. The president was reported to have a 45% job performance approval rating, which was down 2% from the previous week after seeing a brief increase following the United States' strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities last month and a 52% disapproval rating, which was a 2% increase during that same time frame.

Trump's -7 net approval rating is reported to be just shy of the record low for the survey, which was matched two weeks ago after initially being set in late April.

"Trump’s approval ratings ticked back down as he signed the GOP’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act into law over the long weekend, erasing his popularity gains that followed U.S. strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities last month," the Morning Consult wrote on its X account on July 7.
