PELOSI PANICS: Dems ‘Struggling’ to Connect with Latino Voters Heading into Midterms
The media’s predicted ‘Blue Wave’ may be hitting a major snag just weeks before the 2018 midterm elections, with the Democratic Party “struggling” to “mobilize” Latino voters heading into the high-stakes showdown.
According to the Hill, Democrats are gaining among female voters but are having a difficult time reaching out to another pivotal voting group: Hispanic-Americans.
“Less than four weeks before the Nov. 6 midterm elections, there are signs that Democrats have room for improvement with Hispanic voters,” writes the Hill.
“There are a lot of potential voters out there that are still really up for grabs on both sides,” said Adrian Pantoja of polling organization Latino Decisions. “While the sentiment and anger is favoring the Democratic party, they can either capitalize, or they can, as in past years, wait until the 11th hour and squander it.”
President Trump has made major inroads among traditionally Democratic-leaning voters in recent months; touting record low unemployment and higher wages for minorities across the country.
