9-11 Memorial Posters Banned on College Campus Due to Anti-Muslim “Bias”
A Wisconsin college has banned students from hanging posters in remembrance of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
Conservative student organization, Young America’s Foundation (YAF) is reporting that Ripon College administrators ruled that posters from their 9-11: Never Forget Project could not be hung up in the school because of anti-Muslim bias.
The school’s “Bias Protocol Board” cited complaints from last year’s memorial, claiming the posters created an environment where “students from a Muslim background would feel singled out and/or harassed.”
The school said that because the posters focused “relentlessly” on one religious group and associated it with terrorist attacks, it “creates for some students here an environment which they feel like they are not able to learn.”
