Daily Caller

President Donald Trump told his Twitter audience Wednesday morning that he had been right all along that Roy Moore could not win a general election U.S. Senate race in Alabama.

Moore fell to Democrat Doug Jones in the heavily Republican state Tuesday.

“The reason I originally endorsed Luther Strange (and his numbers went up mightily), is that I said Roy Moore will not be able to win the General Election. I was right! Roy worked hard but the deck was stacked against him!” Trump tweeted.

But Trump also worked hard for Moore in the last few weeks leading up to election night. Trum recorded a phone message for voters that was transmitted last weekend.
