Roads Jammed With Traffic Fleeing Ida

With a Category 4 hurricane expected on the Gulf Coast, thousands of people hit the road this morning trying to flee a potential killer.

And that led to gridlock on I-10, in both directions from New Orleans. Same for Baton Rouge.

A two hour drive from New Orleans to Mobile quickly became 6 hours.

And some people who left New Orleans at 4am still hadn't seen Texas by 2pm.

Hurricane warnings are in effect for Intracoastal City Louisiana to the mouth of the Pearl River (including Lake Pontchartrain, Lake Maurepas, and Metropolitan New Orleans).... and a tropical storm warning is in effect from the mouth of the Pearl River to the Alabama/Florida border.
