Baldwin County Public Schools will remain closed on Thursday and reopen Friday.

Chickasaw City Schools There will be no school on Thursday and no after school activities for Wednesday and Thurs

Clarke County Public Schools will remain closed Thursday.

Escambia County, Alabama Schools will have no school Thursday, October 29. All after school activities including athletics and Extended Day may resume for Thursday, October 29, with the principal's approval. Friday will be a normal school day.

Gulf Shores City Schools there will be no school Thursday.

Mobile County Public School RESUME NORMAL SCHOOL HOURS FRIDAY

Saraland City Schools will not be in session Thursday, October 29. The schools will maintain their previously planned Learn-at-Home day scheduled for Friday.

Satsuma City Schools will be closed Thursday, October 29, due to Zeta.

Shelton Academy No classes Thursday.

Private Schools

St. James Episcopal School will reopen Friday.

UMS-Wright Preparatory School Delayed school opening Thursday will begin at 9am.

Archdiocese of Mobile Catholic Schools cancelled school Thursday and Friday

Universities and Colleges

Bishop State Community College WILL REMAIN CLOSED THURSDAY

University of Mobile classes beginning at 12 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, through Thursday, October 29, will move to an online format. All Wednesday evening university activities are cancelled.

University of South Alabama classes scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. or later on Wednesday, October 28, will be conducted remotely. All classes scheduled prior to 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, will be conducted remotely. Classes that begin at 6 p.m. or later on Thursday, October 29, will meet in their normally scheduled format, including in-person classes. All in-person events and activities scheduled after 12 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, are cancelled, and all in-person events and activities scheduled for Thursday, October 29, are cancelled. Unless otherwise announced, in-person classes and student activities will resume on a normal schedule on Friday, October 30.

Coastal Alabama Community College will close at 1:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, October 28, to prepare for Hurricane Zeta. College officials will continue to monitor inclement weather conditions throughout Wednesday to make a decision about Thursday, October 29

City and Road Closures

Bankhead Tunnel closing doors today at 4 p.m. ahead of the predicted storm surge - Plan to use alternate route

Daphne Solid Waste Division will be delaying garbage collection services until Thurs, Oct 29. Routes will begin at 10am. Debris collection services from Crowder Gulf will also resume tomorrow, weather permitting.

Fairhope city facilities to close at noon Wednesday.

Riviera Utilities offices are closing at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday

Wave Transit buses (Mobile) suspend service tonight at 6 p.m., will resume service Thursday at 7 a.m. weather permitting

Wells Fargo branches in Mobile and Baldwin County in Alabama to close at 2 p.m. Wednesday, branches in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties in Florida to close at noon
