EXCLUSIVE: Woman who survived a month in the woods was high on meth, cops believehttps://t.co/jiPddix6ss— Daily Mail US (@DailyMail) August 22, 2017
Some of you remember the story of Lisa Theris who survived naked and lost in the Alabama wilderness. The story broke 4 weeks ago. Everyone was left scratching their heads as to what happened to her, because not even she could say how she got there.
Daily Mail has put together a very comprehensive report on what probably happened. Police tell Daily Mail Theris was likely hallucinating from using methamphetamine. Which puts her lost in the woods and emerging again 25 days later.
It starts with Theris living with her older boyfriend then a bad break up happens. After that she moves back in with her parents, enrolls to community college, working at a local Hooters and falling in with the wrong crowd.
Police believe two men connected with her disappearance were also high on drugs. To the point where they believed they murdered Theris and dumped her body. Both gave wildly different accounts of what happened that night. They are booked on burglary charges, which occurred the same day she disappeared.
The police department is unable to prove she was high on drugs at this time.
You have to check out the full report at Daily Mail. It's a bizarre and sad story, that thankfully ended without any murders.
