BLUE ANGELS HOMECOMING AIRSHOW- Fri/Sat 8am (gates open); 9:30am (airshow begins); 1:30pm-2pm (Blue Angels fly), Naval Air Station Pensacola

The Blue Angels close out the season with their Homecoming Airshow at NAS.  In addition to the air show, spectators can enjoy a collection of aircraft on display, virtual games and other attractions/displays at vendor booths, food booths, souvenir booths, and a kids’ fun-zone!  Pets and coolers are not permitted. OYSTER COOKOFF & CRAFT BEER WEEKENDFri 6pm-11pm; Sat 11am-6pm, The Hangout, Gulf Shores

It’s an inspired weekend of food and drink!  Enjoy tastings of dozens of craft beers and live music from Billy Raffoul and Matt Maeson at the Friday night event.  

Saturday, sample oysters from dozens of chefs and restaurants from across the country and learn tricks of the trade from acclaimed chefs. Plus live music throughout the day, including a performance by Red Clay Strays (around 2pm) and Michael Ray (at 3pm) presented by 95KSJ.  CLICK HERE    


GREATER GULF STATE FAIRFri Oct 26- Sun Nov 4, The Grounds, west Mobile

This year’s theme is “How the West was Fun.”   Enjoy the largest midway on the Gulf Coast, along with the Rhinestone Roper Show, World of Wonders and The Escape Explosion.   This Friday, see Back To The 90’s, with All 4 One, Coolio and Tone Loc at 7:30pm on the Grandstand.   CLICK HERE     


GREAT GULF COAST ARTS FESTIVAL- Fri/Sat 9am-5pm; Sun 9am-4pm, Seville Square, downtown Pensacola

The three-day, juried art show draws more than 200 of the nation's best painters, potters, sculptors, jewelers, graphic artists, craftsmen and other artists. There’s also live music, a Children’s Art Festival, and craft artists.  CLICK HERE    


ALABAMA PECAN FESTIVALFri 5pm-until; Sat/Sun 9am-until, Tillmans Corner Community Center

This is a  family friendly arts & crafts festival, hosted by the Southwest Mobile County Chamber of Commerce in connection with the Alabama Pecan Growers Association.   It features live music, entertainment, midway rides, carnival games, art & craft vendors, and LOTS of pecans and pecan pies!  Free admission and parking.  CLICK HERE

Bring your Halloween pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns and test the laws of gravity by dropping them and smashing them in exciting and educational ways. You bring the pumpkins, they clean up the mess.
