Mississippi Casinos Can Start Reopening Thursday

Mississippi's State Gaming Commission today is making it official - casinos can reopen next week.

The commission is sending out an order that outlines the coronavirus precautions the casinos will have to take when they resume operations on Thursday (5/21). They've been closed for two months.

The order limits capacity to 50% and requires regular sanitization of everythng from slot machines to card shoes.

Guests will be screened, asked to use hand sanitizer, and encouraged to wear a mask (which will be provided by the casino) while on property.

No valet parking. No entertainment or special events.
