Reopening More of Alabama, Starting Monday

Starting Monday, you can get a haircut in Alabama.

You can go to a restaurant.

You can work out at a gym.

There are social distancing restrictions and requirements to use face coverings included.

For example, restaurants will be limited to 50% occupancy, no more than 8 people at a table, and tables must be 6 feet from other customers. Restaurant employees must wear masks at all times. And there won't be any salad bars or buffets.

Churches can reopen and funeral homes can have services, with safety precautions.

Entertainment venus remain closed. And people are still urged to stay home.

You can see what the restrictions are in the Governor's Amended Safer At Home order, which goes into effect Monday May 11th.

Governor Ivey says she's banking on Alabamians to be responsible and rise to the occasion by being personally responsible.
