You've probably heard by now about the City of Prichard and their new attempt at starting their own garbage pick up service.
They bought over a half a million dollars worth of garbage cans with a misspelling on the logo: instead of saying "Mobile County" the cans say "Mobile Country." Yes, a silly mistake.
Now a Prichard City Councilman Lorenzo Martin is saying the money spent buying the cans was done without city council approval, which he says is illegal.

I cannot understand why Prichard would even want to start a new city service when they seem to have trouble delivering on all the other city services. In fact, why not just un-incorporate or dis-incorporate and become a part of the county?
