iHeartMedia Contest Winner Eligibility
Effective July 1, 2019 iHM updated the winner restrictions to the all contest rules (local and national). Research has
shown Nielsen respondents are more likely to participate in contesting. This was done to help ensure we are not losing
any potential Nielsen respondents who might consider tuning out of our stations due to being ineligible for our contests.
The previous rules were set to limit a listener/winner to every 30 or 60 days. Listener behavior has evolved over the
years, but our eligibility limitations did not. This is aimed to help correct this and maximize listening.

Updated Contest Limitations
Eligibility Frequency Limits: The Sponsor may set limitations on how frequently an individual can be eligible to win more
than one prize within a specified time period. For national sweepstakes/contests, an individual may win only once (1)
every fifteen (15) days. However, the same individual may not win more than one prize to a specific event. For local
sweepstakes/contests, an individual may win only once (1) every seven (7) days per station. An individual may not win
more than three (3) times in one month (local and national combined). Only one (1) winner per household is permitted in
any contest or sweepstakes. “Household members” shall mean people who share the same residence at least three (3)
months a year.
Additional explanation:
Regarding National contests
• Individual can only win once every 15 days TOTAL
(individual cannot win from a CHR station today and an Urban station tomorrow)
(individual can win from a CHR station today and then from an Urban station in 2 weeks)
• Individual can only win ONE trip to a specific event TOTAL
(individual cannot win a trip to Festival from a CHR station today and an Urban station in 2 weeks)
Regarding Local contests
• Individual can only win once every 7 days PER STATION
(individual can win from a CHR station today, an Urban station tomorrow and a Country station the next day)
• Individual cannot win more than 3 times in 30 days PER STATION
(individual can win up to 3 times in 30 days from a CHR station, and simultaneously up to 3 times from an Urban
station during the same time frame)
