Below, you'll find a complete tv newscast from April of 1977.
The newscast features the familiar news personalities Carlton Cordell, Danny Trainor and Jim Koblas.
I found it quite fun to watch, and notice how different local tv news is today versus yesterday.
The segment with the most change is the weather forecast. You'll be able to see the old fashioned weather map, with magnetic letters representing high pressure and low pressure.
If you're a longtime Mobilian, you'll get a big kick out of hearing the news, and may recognize some of the names involved in the stories.
The most astonishing thing you will see is a courtroom story about the sentencing of two killers: Evans and Ritter. You will see these two men both ask the jury for the death penalty in their own cases! ( I've never watched anything like it before!)
