Tolls for the New Bayway Bridge May be More than You Thought

New details on the Mobile River Bridge project are being revealed, and one of the biggest surprises to some people is how the tolls add up.

The Alabama Department of Transportation says we must have tolls for the bridge if we want to build the bridge, because, otherwise, there is no money available for the gigantic project.

According to where you get on and off the bridge, it would cost anywhere from 3 dollars to six dollars one way. If you wanted to use the bridge to commute back and forth every day, just do the math!

Below, you will find two stories from NBC 15 on the topic:

The Award Winning Andrea Ramey does the math for us on the tolls in the first report. In the second, Cory Pippin shows us what was said at a public meeting held this week by ALDOT in Spanish Fort.
