If you'd like to help the family of Officer Robert McKeithen, here's how:

The young man accused of killing a Biloxi police officer returned to the scene of the crime last night, in handcuffs. Nineteen-year-old Darian Atkinson was captured in Wiggins, about 40 miles north of Biloxi, following an all-day manhunt. A Biloxi officer on his way home spotted Atkinson on the side of the road, and he was arrested by Wiggins police. He's accused of killing veteran officer Robert McKeithen in the police station parking lot Sunday night. His brother is being charged as an accessory.

If you'd like to help out the family of the slain officer, you can donate in his name at Southern Coastal Credit Union in Biloxi.

Scammers are already out there...calling folks and claiming to be with the Police Benevolent Association. If someone calls and makes this claim, be warned it is a scam.

You can also leave flowers or a momento on Officer McKeithen's police car at the Public Safety Center on Porter Avenue in Biloxi.

Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Homes is handling the arrangements for Officer McKeithen. Visitation will be Monday, May 13 from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Biloxi. The funeral service will be at 12:30 p.m. The burial will be at 2:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery.
