Lime Bike Is Leaving Mobile

Lime Bike Leaves

When the City of Mobile announced that Lime Bike was coming to town, Mayor Stimpson said, "This is the future of transportation."

Apparently, Mobile isn't ready for that future.

Lime Bike is leaving Mobile after only six months.

City spokesman George Talbot says Lime Bike has a problem with Alabama law that somehow prevents Lime Bike from expanding beyond bicycles to electric scooters.
