Snow Tuesday for Mobile and Baldwin Counties?

Possible Snowfall Accumulations
Impact

Here is an email that went out early today from the National Weather Service in Mobile about what we can expect early in the week:

...Snow accumulations possible across our northwest interior counties Tuesday morning....

Confidence is increasing that a transition of liquid to frozen precipitation will occur as arctic air overspreads falling precipitation behind the frontal passage, especially over our interior northwest zones Tuesday AM. Latest graphic shows a limited threat of impacts by way of bridges and some roads becoming potentially slick by snowfall. Potential accumulations of up to an inch possible at this time northwest of a Leakesviille MS to Camden AL line. Lesser amounts expected at this time to the southeast of this line. A Winter Storm Watch may be required on later forecast packages.

...Coldest temperatures of the season expected Tuesday night...

Overnight lows Tuesday night are forecast to plunge into the lower 20s north of I-10, mid to upper 20s closer to the coast. The potential for a hard freeze cannot be ruled out at this time in some areas well inland.

We will continue to closely monitor these potential threats and update you as more details become known. If you have any questions, please give us a call at 251-633-2471

Below, you can see what NBC 15 meteorologist Jake Dunne has tweeted about the possibilities of snow.

Jake Dunne says,as of now,  "Rain and snow are expected between 3-9 am on Tuesday. Travel will be slippery, especially on bridges, northwest of I-65 where up to 1" of snow is possible."
