Every day thousands of cancer patients need a ride to treatment, but some may not have a way to get there. The American Cancer Society Road To Recovery program provides transportation to and from treatment for people with cancer who do not have a ride or are unable to drive themselves.
In the podcast below, you will hear Heather Adams, Mission Delivery Program Manager, and Alex Arendall, a volunteer on the ACS South Alabama Leadership Council and member of the ACS Alabama Area Board of Directors.
They talk about how the Road to Recovery program needs volunteer drivers, and how the program works. Because the greatest treatment in the world isn’t going to help when you can’t get to it.
