21 Year Old Springhill Pellet Gun Shooter Arrested

21 year old Wyatt Newborn was booked into Mobile Country jail Wednesday morning. He was charged with several crimes: two counts of assault, possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia and criminal mischief. He was also charged with five felony violations of his probation.

Newborn is no stranger to the police, as he was booked back in May 2017 for second degree burglary and further back in January 2016 for carrying brass knuckles and a slingshot.

It's believed that Newborn shot two people at the intersection of Tuthill and Springhill Ave. (near St. Ignatius). One was a runner and the other a cyclist. Unfortunately, the runner, Bill Goodloe, lost a tooth from the pellet gun that was fired at him by Newborn.

The cyclist, Heather Nelson, called the police and took to Facebook to post about the incident right after it happened.
