UPDATED: The Daily Show To Premiere "Alabama Week"

UPDATED: Here is a segment that zero's in on Alabama's religious culture.

AL.com reports The Daily Show's 'Alabama Week' is upon us. Monday through Thursday of this week, we'll see The Daily Show dedicate 4 nights this week to Alabama.

Shortly after the 2016 election, the show learned that the state that they were least popular in was Alabama. This was in a report by the New York Times, Dec. 27, 2016 by Josh Katz.

The Daily Show wanted to find out what made the state of Alabama tick by sending a crew down to investigate.

The show's production crew spent time in Huntsville, Mobile, Montgomery Selma and Tuscaloosa. They also visited Paul Finebaum and four of his more popular callers, as well as correspondent Jordan Klepper.

Alabama Representative Patricia Todd was contacted by The Daily Show and recorded an interview with them the week of the announcement.

The segments will air on Comedy Central starting tonight. "The Daily Show," hosted by Trevor Noah, airs at 10 p.m. central Monday through Thursday, on Comedy Central.

Comedy Central released the following in their press release about the show:

"'Alabama Week' will feature nightly segments shot on location in cities and towns across the state including Selma, Tuscaloosa, Huntsville, Mobile and Montgomery covering topics including history religion, politics and the great outdoors. Jordan Klepper, Desi Lydic, Hasan Minhaj and Alabama-native Roy Wood Jr. report."
