REPORT: Bentley Expected to Resign This Week

AL.com reports that sources claim Alabama Governor Bentley is in negotiations to step down as governor. This would install Lt. Gov. Kay Ivey as governor.

The Ethics Commission had reason to believe Bentley committed four felonies. They released the report last week found here. The report also details evidence submitted by both staff members and Bentley's ex-wife of an affair he had with his advisor Rebekah Mason.

Foreseeing a vacuum, there are already bids to be the next AL Governor. There's evidence that Tommy Tubberville will run.

What's your take on Bentley stepping down?

UPDATE (4/10/17 - 9:30AM CST): Local 15 News is reporting that Bentley is not "personally" involved in any negotiations to resign. It appears only time will tell what happens next...
