Conecuh Sheriffs Bust $700k Worth Purple Drink

Conecuh County Sheriff's took $700k worth of 'purple drink' off the streets. The 822 bottle bust was made on Interstate 65, close to the Castleberry/Lenox exit.

For those of you who don't know, 'purple drink' is typically mixed with ingredients such as the soft drinks Sprite or Mountain Dew and optionally "a Jolly Rancher hard fruit candy thrown in for extra sweetness."

However, there are some undesirable side effects such as:

  • Constricted pupils that do not respond well to light
  • Rough, raspy voice
  • Slow, slurred speech
  • Uncontrolled eye movement
  • Droopy eyes
  • Slowed heart rate
  • Drowsiness
  • Loss of balance
  • Loss of coordination
  • Paleness
  • Constipation
  • Urinary tract infection
  • Dental problems
  • Addiction

Not to mention, it's just illegal to use prescription drugs against the instructions on their labels. Purple Drink is definitely a case of that.
