Tropical Storm Francine formed in the Gulf this morning and the forecast track calls for it to become a hurricane by Tuesday, with potential landfall Wednesday/Thursday along the Louisiana coast.
If that track holds, the effects in our area of the Gulf Coast will be plenty-- remember, East is Beast, areas to the right of the storm center have the greatest effects.
According to FOX 10 meterologist Jennifer Lambers, our area could experience:
Heavy Rain, 3" to 5"
Life Threatening Rip Currents (stay out of the Gulf as the storm approaches, Wednesday-Thursday)
Gusty Winds in coastal areas
