The Wallace Tunnel Will Have a Toll When the Mobile River Bridge Is Built

NBC 15's Muriel Bailey is reporting that when the Mobile River Bridge is built, you will also have to pay a toll to use the Wallace Tunnel.

How much will it cost? Alabama Department of Transportation is looking somewhere between $3 and $6.

The I-10 drive will feature segmented tolling, so what you pay depends on where you get on and get off

Project PIO Allison Gregg told Muriel Bailey:"All points on the I-10 alignment will be tolled. That includes the Mobile River Bridge, Wallace Tunnel and the Bayway. So I'm coming from Eastern Shore and I get on the Bayway and I get off at mid bay and take Causeway and Bankhead into downtown. I'm only paying for that first part of the Bayway that I use."
